30, Las Vegas, NV

Nick Nelson comes from the small town of Hickory North Carolina. He is from a family and community where off road recreation was a way of life. Since three, Nick has been riding motorcycles and playing competitive sports: football, baseball, basketball, snowboarding, little league, rec league, all sports in school, and tuning cars in high school… If it has wheels he has run it.

After graduating at St. Stephens High School he briefly studied business management at Appalachian State University before following his passion and continuing his education at Wyotech in Laramie, Wyoming. He focused his studies on chassis fabrication, street rod, and high horsepower engines. Being a builder gives him great insight into what a race vehicle is capable of. It showed him how innovation is crucial when it comes down to problem solving. With a dream and the drive he moved to Las Vegas, the off road racing capital, to pursue a career as a professional driver.

In a short time his competitive nature and skill as a driver culminated in a national

championship of off road racing as the 2012 Ultra4 Nitto Tire National Champion. Nick was also voted by his peers and fans as the “Sportsman of the Year.” This cemented his determination to help others, give back, and show appreciation for how far he has come.
